Haul from imomoko

Recently I ordered a couple things from http://www.imomoko.com/
Left to Right: Koji eyelash glue, Kao Liese Hair Design, Shiseido moisturizer, Rosette Hello Kitty Acne face wash, DHC after bath hair treatment and two free samples in the front.

The good:

Fast shipping (about one week), frequent notifications of shipment status, and free shipping.
If you spend over a certain amount, shipping is free. I think it is worth it becaus
e honestly, how often will I be ordering from this place?

The DHC after bath hair treatment is formulated for dry scalps. I only used it a few times so far... it is applied the same way as a leave-in conditioner. I have not noticed any significant difference in my scalp yet so I will keep using it. Either way, the bottle is cute!

The bad:

I ordered the Tidy Straight hair design product and I received the "move and flow" version. I specifically ordered the Tidy Straight because I have used it before and loved it. It comes in a green bottle so I knew immediately I got the wrong product. I don't think it is worth it to go through the return process because I just have the time to worry about sending items back and forth to California.
Note: when I ordered these products I had long hair and after I received my package, I had chopped my hair off... so, the hair design product is of no use to me!
Something I did notice was that some of the items were a bit dusty. Probably from sitting in a storage room. I think that is a bit careless (like the above mix-up) and the products should be presented properly.

Overall, I would order from imomoko again. I love the wide selection of products and the fair pricing. I have not been back to Japan in about a year so it is nice to be able to easily acquire the products I miss. Considering the yen is valued so much higher than the dollar, the prices are fair and the shipping is nothing crazy.
If you are looking for great Japanese skincare items or Japanese makeup, this website is definitely worth a look.

coming back.

This blog will be returning once I am done with midterms.
Probably going to just take the format of "perridactyl-opinions," essentially a place to voice how I feel about things because I wouldn't actually want to discuss them with a real human... since who really wants to hear me rant and rave about makeup, books, cats, and other Internet-related sensations? We shall see.
I got a new camera so I'm hoping to use this as a place to practice posting pictures... or I can always save that for flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/perridactyl/

new items

I just placed my order for some new mac goodies! I ordered the Tinted Lipglass in Lavender Wind, Color 3 Eyeshadow Palette, Blush Ombre in Azalea Blossom, & Eye Shadow in Nanogold. Can't wait for my new items. I will try to put up pictures once I get everything.

Speaking of mail, I'm still waiting for my linguistics book that has yet to arrive. >.<

Tonight I have turbo kickboxing. My new workout routine is pretty serious (!!). Besides turbo kickboxing, I'm also taking zumba, corefit (like pilates/yoga) and jazzercise. It's a combo of classes for one pass/one fee. I needed a reason to get out and move. So far this new plan is working. It feels good to move around and not be so lazy (napping 24/7). I remember the days of dance... almost everyday I had ballet. I wish I was still into something so intensly. Once I get out of this college routine I can reorganize my life and find a new passion (or two).

back & ready for action

I have decided that I want to get back to the blog-o-sphere. I really just have a lot whirling in my head and I want to pretend that someone out there cares. haha

Okay so where to start? I want to think of a better way to format this but I'm really not that knowledgeable about computers. It's funny, I used to make my own websites when I was younger and then I just sort of lost touch with this computer stuff.

Things I'm Really Into Right Now:

MAC Cosmetics! Ack-- I have found a new obsession. I am really hyped for the new collection coming out on 2-11. I'll post pictures of whatever I purchase from the MAC Cosmetics Spring Forecast Collection

Rimmel Lash Maxx Mascara: One word- awesome! I was really disappointed when I initially opened up the tube and saw the skinny plastic brush. But, alas- my lashes look amazing when I apply this mascara. I think it was about $7 and it came with a free eyeliner.

Planning my trip to Japan: I won't lie- I look up stuff almost everyday. Things to do, things to see, things to eat... the list goes on. I'm really excited because I'm going with Jim this time so I'll get to play tour guide. I wish I could bring with an extra stomach because I have so many food joints to check out.

Twitter: Yes, I am sorry to say this but I am really enjoying it. Follow me @perridactyl.

More to come later. I need to do some work and stop fooling around on the interwebz. I'll try to make more of an effort next time.
Also- I need a new digital camera. I need to start seriously looking because I want to familiarize myself with it before I go on my trip.

worries

I am getting pretty anxious about the future post-undergrad times. I have casually checked out graduate school and applied to some jobs but now it is time to get serious. I am at Borders right now and I am going to get this book about grad school and what to expect. I feel like this is a better resource than what my adviser has to offer. I have found a school I'm interested in that's in Japan but I don't know how realistic it is for me to go there and the application fee alone is 35,000 yen. yowza.
The application isn't due until April so I think I will keep investigating and gathering information about the school before I make my final choice.
I wish I was better prepared for the future and what to expect but I'm definitely not and I'm heading out into the world with my BA (big ass?) and not much else. so marketable (~sarcasm).
That's all the venting for now. I have to start working on my paper revision as I've hardly dont anything so far.
ciao.

It's finally May.

I got my grades from this semester... a superb GPA for a semester that doesn't count at all... and I didn't do a lick of work.
